On August 8th, Confucius Institute at Assumption University (hereafter CIAU) held a Chinese culture camp for 24 teachers and students of Darasamutr School Sriracha.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Zhao Peiqin, the Chinese director of CIAU, introduced the nature, purpose and development of the Confucius Institutes to the teachers and students of Darasamtr School Sriracha as well as of CIAU. Through the introduction, the teachers and students came to know that Confucius Institutes are platforms for communication and cooperation, as well as the details of CIAU.
CIAU prepared Chinese traditional culture activities such as paper-cutting, Chinese painting, calligraphy, Gu Zheng and Chinese chess for the teachers and students. The 24 teachers and students showed strong interests in Chinese traditional culture.
Mr. Li Yunkai, the Chinese manager of the Confucius Classroom at Darasamutr School, expressed thanks to all members of CIAU for the carefully prepared cultural activities, and hoped that more of their teachers and students could have the opportunity for this kind of camp in the future.
