On September 19th, 2018, Confucius Institute of Assumption University ( hereafter CIAU ) prepared a Mid-Autumn Festival feast at Suvarnabhumi Campus of Assumption University. Hundreds of teachers and students of Assumption University have deepened their understanding of Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival culture by watching Mid-Autumn Festival cultural video clips, experiencing moon cake making process, participating in Chinese painting, calligraphy and Chinese tea etiquette linked with Mid-Autumn Festival.
The aesthetic poem “May we all be blessed with longevity. Though far apart, we are still able to share the beauty of the moon together” helped the teachers and students of Assumption University get a better understanding of the best wishes from Mid-Autumn Festival. They couldn’t help taking up writing brushes to write down this poem as gifts to themselves and their friends.
The edutainment activity organized by CIAU made it possible for more teachers and students to have the opportunity to directly understand and experience traditional Chinese festival culture and enhance their enthusiasm for learning Chinese language and culture.
